The snow is 7 inches deep and we're bundled up against the cold. Every year I get a little seasonal depression, but it's more than not having warm air blow against my skin. It's the time spent away from the garden.

We're planning our raised beds for next year, and aside from the tomatoes and pease and beans and potatoes and such, we always have a little room left aside for experimentation. That is a discussion we haven't had yet.

We will be repeating our watermelons, though. That was our 'try-out' from last season and it was a hit. Who knows? Maybe we'll end up with something completely out of our comfort zone and end up liking it as well.

Enjoy your week, and from our homesteading family to yours, cheers!
