FAMILY HOMESTEADING & OFF THE GRID BLOG HOP #51

With a couple more trees in the mix, we can gather a bit quicker and maybe, just maybe, put up a couple extra jars of syrup. Last year we put up two quarts. Not a lot, but just enough for us.
When all is said and done, we're not adding protein or anything of real nutritional value with the syrup. But, we sure are adding some flavor, and by doing it ourselves, it's all the more sweet.
Cheers,
Todd & Wendie

The Family Homesteading and Off the Grid Blog Hop takes place every week, running from Thursday to Thursday, and welcomes homesteading, family and off the grid bloggers from around the world to participate.
Whether your interests lie in off the grid solutions, homesteading, DIY projects, recipes, gardening, livestock, food preservation or anything related, you will find it here.
This week's featured blog post is from Suzan over at It's My Sustainable Life. We all find that with a little extra effort, we could start to save and keep our seeds from season to season. Suzan shows us how easy it is, and how simple keeping them organized is.
Thanks for your submission!
