FARM FRESH TUESDAYS BLOG HOP #30
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! We had out first snow-fall of the season here on the homestead, and believe us when we say, preparation is everything! Yesterday, the bees got their winter blanket put on (an R-19 rated insulation wrap and duct tape), the chicken and guinea water bowls were flipped to prevent freezing, and the tractor was tuned to be ready for the snow-throwing.
You bet we were ready. We live in a town where the school cancels the night before when a storm is guaranteed, and that meant a good sleep in before getting to our work. Clear off the trucks, feed the animals, plow the driveway, do some art. A perfect day:)
Cheers!
