Family Homesteading & Off the Grid Blog Hop #35

The conversation around the homestead these days seems to be centered on the state of the environment. There is so much information coming in that we tend to become numb, perhaps from fatigue or perhaps from an underlying sense that there's nothing we can do to reverse the damage.

Of course, that's not the case. Living off the grid and building a skill set for self-sufficiency, we can have a direct impact on our personal environment. We have removed a great deal of frivolous consumerism from our lives, grow and preserve a portion of our food and look to keep a balance with our surroundings.

It's not so overwhelming when it's one step at a time.

Goals for a Plastic Free Environment

We are happy to host this weekly chance for homesteading, gardening, off the grid and family bloggers to share their stories. You can post up to five blog articles a week to share with our friends, and we're looking forward to getting to know you.

!!!Featured Post from Last Week!!!

Our featured blog post from last week is from Nancy over at Nancy on the Homefront, with her timely piece on using the season for all it's worth. Fall is our most favorite time of year, and Nancy was kind enough to remind us all of the reason. Congrats!
