Family Homesteading & Off the Grid Blog Hop #35
The conversation around the homestead these days seems to be centered on the state of the environment. There is so much information coming in that we tend to become numb, perhaps from fatigue or perhaps from an underlying sense that there's nothing we can do to reverse the damage.
Of course, that's not the case. Living off the grid and building a skill set for self-sufficiency, we can have a direct impact on our personal environment. We have removed a great deal of frivolous consumerism from our lives, grow and preserve a portion of our food and look to keep a balance with our surroundings.
It's not so overwhelming when it's one step at a time.
Cheers!
